Terms of Use
Last updated: September 13, 2026
1. Who we are
Duplia is made by Felix Tilly, a solo developer in Germany. Full address and contact details are in the Legal Notice. These terms cover the Duplia app for macOS and this website.
2. Buying Duplia
Duplia is sold through Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC, USA), which acts as the merchant of record. For the purchase itself, Lemon Squeezy is your contractual partner: they take the payment, issue the invoice, handle sales tax or VAT and process refunds. Their terms apply to the transaction. Everything about the app itself, including support, comes from us.
If you buy as a consumer, your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected by these terms.
3. Free trial
You can use Duplia with all features for 7 days, without an account and without payment details. After the trial, Duplia asks you to buy a license to keep using it.
4. Your license
A purchase gives you a permanent, non-exclusive license to use Duplia on up to three Macs at the same time, privately or for work. It includes every update within the major version you bought (for example all 1.x versions). If there is ever a major new version, upgrading is your choice: the version you own keeps working.
To move a license to another Mac, remove it from one of your Macs in Duplia's settings. Duplia checks the license with Lemon Squeezy from time to time and keeps working offline for up to 14 days between checks.
Please don't share your license key publicly, sell or rent it, or work around the license check. You may not modify or reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.
5. Updates
Duplia looks for updates on its own and asks before installing one. You can turn automatic checks off in the settings.
6. Your data
Your clipboard history and parked files stay on your Mac. Duplia has no account and no cloud. What the app and this website do process is described in the Privacy Policy.
Duplia is a convenience tool, not a backup. It deletes old entries according to the history length you choose, and entries are gone for good once they are deleted. Keep separate copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
7. Open source components
Duplia includes open source software that is licensed under its own terms. The full license texts are in the app under Settings › License › Open Source.
8. Liability
We build Duplia with care but cannot promise that it will work without errors in every setup or with every app.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an obligation that is essential for the contract to work as intended, and then only for damage that was typical and foreseeable at the time of purchase. Otherwise our liability is excluded. This also applies to our representatives.
9. Ending the license
You can stop using Duplia at any time. If you seriously breach these terms, for example by publishing or reselling license keys, we may revoke the affected license.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when Duplia gets new features. Changes never take away what you already paid for. The date at the top shows the current version.
11. Applicable law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
